Madeleine was born in 1692 in Port Royal, l'Acadie, Nova Scotia.  Madeleine's father was Rene (Jean) Rimbault and her mother is Anne Marie (Pinet) Metisse.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 67 on October 30th, 1759 in Boulogne, France.

Madeleine and Charles were married in a religious ceremony on May 17th, 1712 in Port Royal, l'Acadie, Nova Scotia.  They had a son named Alexis.
