Denis was born in 1625 in Martaize, Loudin, France.  Denis' father was Jean Gaudet and his mother was Marie Francoise D'Aussy.  His paternal grandfather is Jean Gaudet. He had a sister named Marie Francoise.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 84 on October 11th, 1709 in Rivieres Aux Canards, l'Acadie, Nova Scotia.



Denis' family

Denis and Martine were married in a religious ceremony in 1644 in Port Royal, l'Acadie, Nova Scotia.  They had three sons and two daughters, named Marie Jeanne, Jean Pierre (dit Lejeune), Pierre (dit L'Aine), Anne Marie and Marie.
