Jean Melanson

Jean was born in 1690 in Port Royal, l'Acadie, Nova Scotia. Jean's father was Charles Mellanson dit La Ramee and his mother is Marie Dugas. His paternal grandparents were Pierre dit LaVerdure and Priscilla Mallinson. He has four brothers and nine sisters, named Charles, Ambroise, Pierre, Claude, Marie, Marguerite, Anne Marie, Cecile, Françoise, Isabelle Elise, Marie Madeleine, Marie and Marguerite Madeleine. He is the second youngest of the fourteen children.
