Pierre was born in 1650 in Ambroise, Touraine, France.  Pierre's father was Jean Bergeron and his mother is Catherine Douaray.  His paternal grandfather was Jean Bergeron and his paternal grandmother is Jeanne Beluche. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Jean, Antoine, Jacques, Thomas, Louise, Catherine and Marie.  He is the youngest of the eight children.
