Alexandre Miquoin was born in 1716 in St. Charles des Mines, Grand Pre, l'Acadie, Nova Scotia.  Alexandre Miquoin's father was Jean Dominique Melanson and his mother was Marie Marguerite Dugas.  His paternal grandparents were Pierre Mellanson dit Laverdure and Marguerite Anne Mius d'Entremont; his maternal grandparents were Claude Dugas and Marie Francoise Bourgeois. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jean Baptiste, Paul, Pierre, Jacques, Etienne, Marguerite, Marie Josephe (Josette), Madeleine and Cecile.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 50 in 1766 in Snow Hill, Worcester, Maryland.

Alexandre Miquoin and Marie Josephe were married in a religious ceremony in 1745 in St. Charles des Mines, Grand Pre, l'Acadie, Nova Scotia.


Alexandre Miquoin's second family

Alexandre Miquoin and Marie Osite were married in a religious ceremony in 1748 in St. Charles des Mines, Grand Pre, l'Acadie, Nova Scotia.  They had six sons and a daughter, named Jean, Pierre Jacques (Santiago), Joseph (Jose), Etienne, Paul Olivier, Charles and Madeleine Marie.
