Caledonian Society of New Orleans - New Orleans - Ths website was established in order to promote the Scottish culture in the New Orleans area and to make accessible to the public the various activities of the society.  Activities include Scottish country dancing, Highland dancing, bagpipe band, Scottish Tea and annual Robert Burns Supper.

Catharine Cole's Louisiana - New Orleans - Catharine Cole, a Picayune writer, visited and wrote about all of Louisiana's parishes in the 1890s.  This site has many of her articles.  She was the 1st full-time woman staff writer on the newspaper and wrote a column, "Catharine Cole's Correspondence," each Sunday featuring women's topics, philosophic observations, fiction, and, most notably, her travels around the state. Over a period of years she visited and wrote about most of the parishes in Louisiana.
